I get my Social Security deposit on the 4th Wednesday of every month. I checked my account this morning and since I turn 65 this month, they deducted $203 for Medicare. So my question is this: Why is the government charging me for something that I already spent my whole adult life paying for? What a scam. 🤬

@SavageOnTheSun @1Nicdar If you live to age 65, you're odds of living to 90 are about 35%. "Average lifespan" is obviously impacted by people who die young. Also, a 3% inflation adjustment on $24k/yr taken at age 62 is $720. A 3% inflation adjustment on $48k/yr taking at age 70 is $1,440. 😳

@Retired_CFO @1Nicdar Do the math - PERIOD. Example. If its 20,000 per year at 62 thats 8 yrs or 160,000 total. If you get a 500 per month raise if you wait till 70 that raise of 6,000 per year takes 26 plus yrs (live to 96?) to recover 120,000 you would have. Take the $ as u can do more younger too.

Some bizarre rules in golf! I don’t know how you can hit a ridiculously wild shot, not find your ball and get a free drop! Leaves a bad taste, especially after the Bryson ruling. But let’s not allow it to over shadow a great finish to a special championship and a fantastic win for #RyanFox

The on course commentator on Sky said she’d never seen a ball that far offline after Scottie Scheffler pulled it on 17 and it was “behind” the hospitality. The R&A rules officials then gave him free relief from hospitality even though they couldn’t find his ball. He made birdie.
