In Kerala, it’s no longer CPM and BJP - it’s CJP. Their deal is obvious.

The UDF is going to provide a strong protective cover for the people of Keralam through five key guarantees: 1️⃣ Free bus travel for all women in KSRTC buses. 2️⃣ ₹1000 per month financial assistance for college-going girl students. 3️⃣ Welfare pension increased to ₹3000 per month. 4️⃣ ₹25 lakh health insurance cover for every household under a scheme named after Oommen Chandy ji. 5️⃣ Interest-free loans up to ₹5 lakh for youth to start their own businesses. A dedicated Ministry for Senior Citizens will also be created to ensure dignity, care and focused welfare for the elderly. The UDF stands united in its purpose - to defeat the corrupt CPM govt, and secure a better, more hopeful future for Keralam.

When the poor receive subsidies to survive, it’s called “revdi” and “freebies”. When Adani and Ambani receive land at throwaway prices, tax exemptions, and lakhs of crores in loan write-offs - it’s called development. The poor are shamed. The powerful are celebrated. I am open to a conversation about freebies - but let’s be honest and account for both sides of the equation.
