I decided to drop the rating for #Mixtape to 7/10, The music was great , the scenes were shot beautifully but the stop motion felt like a gimmick, the writing was kinda cringe even if it was a better quality than most, it was still millennial writing. The last stretch of the game i really disliked (whole party sequences) It also could’ve had a much stronger 80s-90s feel than it did now that i looked at other games i played set in the same time period. I still recommend it, especially on Game Pass.

#Mixtape was a pleasant surprise, despite having negative expectations and this type of game not being my thing at all i still enjoyed playing it. The soundtrack is great, the writing feels authentic and the gameplay had a decent amount of variety. The vibes and atmosphere mixed with the stop motion really brings the whimsical high school theme to life. It’s short, it’s great and I recommend it. 8/10

i’m just excited for GTA6 because at least i know it isn’t going to be stuck in the 60s-80s era of music. bob dylan is literally my favorite in any medium but we need to move past James Gunn as music supervisor. Rockstar had the best music taste in games

@GenePark @DTownStaysDown As someone who made a TON of mixtapes, the game is really hitting for me. Thought of a lot of events in my life that I associate to certain songs. I didn't live her life, but it made me appreciate the soundtrack to mine a lot more. We lost something with streaming music.

@GenePark The beauty of art whether it be music, movies, or something as interactive as video games is allowing it to show you unfamiliar experiences. Art opens people up to different viewpoints and is arguably one of the most important parts of society. Look at white kids and anime.

i'm intrigued only because of reviews but blessing hits on something that makes me skeptical. i do not recognize any part of this game as someone who grew up in a nonwhite community. i did not "grow up" in the vibes of this game so none of it connects. interested to hear more

@PaulTassi @Forbes To be fair Microsoft had put their best into AI initiatives. Seeing a lot of that team switch to Xbox may be a huge positive in the sense of putting the A team into the games division. They may genuinely be trying to get the best people they have to develop tools/platform.
