🌟4 WEEKS AT NUMBER 1🌟 River students have done it AGAIN! For a full month now, we have held the top spot across @SparxLearning platforms: Reader, Maths and Science. No mean feat when there are over 2500 schools using these programmes!

This would be a great opportunity for the first step into curriculum leadership, or indeed for experienced leaders. @RiverAcReading is a very special place and every day is nothing less than joyful. Come and see!

Our students loved the academic challenge of learning more about mythology and Greek myth and they've all become big fans of Penelope! Thank you to the Classics department and Mollie Legg for the opportunity!

It has been fantastic to see the final outcome of our Year 8 Classics elective last term: 'The Odyssey without Odysseus'. Part of these 'tapestry' squares were designed by our students and it will go on display at @RHULClassics! #Excellence

@Eastreadingcom Every lunchtime, senior staff are in the dining hall. They are also accompanied by another set of staff who support in supervising, alongside sitting and eating with the students. It is a whole school activity! ❤️

@RiverAcReading Well done, why not once a week pick a group of students to have lunch with senior school leaders in the dining hall to build their confidence, and leaders get the feel of the students ?

At River, lunchtimes are a very special part of our day. 🌟EVERY student sits down to eat a nourishing meal. 🌟EVERY student takes parts in a structured activity. This routine builds our #community. Where EVERY student has a seat at the table, and belongs.

This week I had the pleasure of presenting to the @_MEInstitute ITT teachers on the theme of School Ethos. How lucky was I then to use the journey of @RiverAcReading and the work of @AndrewH39053178 and the River #Team to explore just how school ethos is designed and grown.
