This week Year 8 welcomed Richard Alexander for the third of four @BarclaysUK Lifeskills Careers Sessions. It was another tremendous day with students exploring the idea of creativity in the workplace. #Careers #Determination #TeamRiver #TeamMET

Gratitude is a vital part of what we do at River. Every week, and at the end of every term, we reflect on those staff who make the school experience a wonderful one.

After a great half term, we wish our community a well deserved half term break. We return on Monday 23rd February for all.

River Academy is proud to be a part of the @MaidenErleghTru and work collaboratively with our colleagues across special, AP and primary. We are lucky to draw upon their knowledge and experience.

We were grateful to Edward for sharing his knowledge and expertise, and thankful for his feedback: ‘Thank you again for the opportunity to speak at your community lecture yesterday, it was great. I was really pleased with how interested, engaged and polite the students were!’

On Tuesday River warmly welcomed Edward Baker from ECSAT, the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications. Edward delivered an out-of-this-world (!) lecture about planetary defence, capturing both students and members of the community alike. 1/2
