@CathodeCoaster When you’re used to going 30+ nights in a season waiting 20 minutes per house, and now you’re going to have to wait 60-90 minutes, you’re probably not going to go as often without express. They’re certainly not going to buy single night express for 10+ nights either

@CathodeCoaster I’m not saying they’re going to boycott. Anyone that says that is being performative. What I mean is you’re going to get less FFP people going almost every night because they have express. Having to wait in the standby is going to cause those people to be more selective on nights

@NickChaps96 @Mattlegostar2 Need? No. Expansion in the current parks won’t stop. But you’re never getting a golden or silver age IP in the current parks ever again without a 5th gate. Also people look at a map, see trees and say “just build here”. That’s not how land grading works in swamp territory

@SirBrayden Exactly. Why would they punish the guests staying there, possibly even deterring some from booking, just to keep the “riff raff” out. That logic makes zero sense. It’s the bar. This decision has been obvious since they announced its addition.

@crazyparkguy @lukefmorris We’ll have enough data relatively quickly on whether the garages were filled by locals trying to “hack” a ride, or if there’s a too-many-people-not-enough-parking-spots problem. Either way this decision has nothing to do with curbing resort hopping.

@lukefmorris What parking situation? It’s not a free parking hack to have free rein over the resort. Would you rather them charge for parking at springs? Also this also isn’t a nuclear option. People should stop acting like this entirely eliminates resort hopping for everyone.

This is a completely awful change if true. I understand the resorts can get crowded during the holidays, but I really don’t think the solution is to require guests to have a dining reservation if they’re not staying on property.

Facebook claims this is more proof Disney is moving to ban non-res guests from visitng their hotels! I am 99% sure the DS bus issue is a DS parking capacity problem temporarily fixed by not allowing park & ride from DS. They want resort hopping, they just added a bar to the lobby
