Odysseus bow was PONTONOUS which means BEND BACKWARDS You can’t just string the bow normally you have to bend it backwards, that is why none of all the suitors weren’t able to successfully string the bow

Nolan didn’t cut Odysseus’s arrogance from this scene, he just gave it a different trigger. No clever ‘Nobody’ reveal here, he shoots a blinded, defenseless Cyclops purely out of rage after they’d already escaped safely. Honestly that’s uglier than the original myth, not smarter. Same fatal pride, worse look
