@AfricaFirsts Africa never would have one President, every time nation splits, new country created, ethic conflict appear here and there, and corruptet leaders exploit African resources they sell to the wests.

Leonhard Euler was astonishingly productive—he wrote around 900 papers and books, covering everything from calculus and number theory to physics and astronomy. What makes this even more remarkable is his personal life. Euler and his wife, Katharina Gsell, had 13 children, though only a few survived to adulthood, which was common in the 18th century. Despite the demands of family life, Euler maintained an intense and steady pace of work. Even more incredible, much of his later work was done after he became nearly blind. He would perform complex calculations in his head and dictate his results to assistants with perfect clarity. His life almost sounds like a myth—limitless intellect, tireless discipline, and overwhelming productivity. If it weren’t so carefully recorded, historians might indeed dismiss it as an exaggerated legend.

On 7 April, it was reported that the United States rescued a jet pilot shot down in Iran with the help of magnetic quantum sensors that detected his heartbeat. Scientists say such devices can sense a beating heart, but at a distance of a few centimeters and not, as President Donald Trump suggested at a press conference, at more than 60 kilometers. scim.ag/4ml2DuV

At the heart of modern science lies a simple but powerful idea: how to update what we believe when new information arrives. This idea is captured by Bayes’ Theorem—a formula that quietly shapes discoveries, guides artificial intelligence, and even helps solve real-world mysteries. In fact, it has been used in surprising ways. In the 1980s, a team led by treasure hunter Tommy Thompson applied Bayesian search methods to locate a shipwreck lost for over a century. The ship carried gold worth hundreds of millions of dollars today. Their success showed that this is not just a mathematical formula—it’s a practical tool for making smarter decisions under uncertainty. So, what makes Bayes’ Theorem so important? At the simplest level, it helps you understand how different pieces of information fit together. You learn what each part of the formula means and how to use numbers to get an answer. This is like learning the basic rules of a new language. A deeper level is understanding why the formula works. This gives you insight into how evidence changes probability—how new facts can strengthen or weaken your beliefs. But the most valuable skill is knowing when to use it. In real life, we are constantly making judgments based on incomplete information—whether in science, medicine, business, or everyday decisions. Bayes’ Theorem gives us a clear way to think through these situations and update our thinking logically. In a world full of uncertainty, this simple idea becomes a powerful guide—helping us move closer to the truth, one piece of evidence at a time.

No great surprise. Netanyahu talked Trump into the disastrous war in Iran. We cannot allow Israel to continue shaping U.S. military and foreign policy. Next week I will be offering a resolution to stop U.S. military aid to Israel.

Three health workers from the district of North Mecha, in North Gojjam Zone of Ethiopia's Amhara region, were fatally shot on 2 April. Two of the health workers, including a nurse, worked at the Abiote Fana primary health center in North Mecha, while the third worked at a private health facility. The killings occurred amid expanding conflict in Amhara involving Ethiopian government and regional forces. Health workers must always be protected and enabled to perform their life-saving duties for anyone needing care. Health is #NotATarget.
