@CoachBox6 Right! These kids don’t understand real ball anymore… too soft! That “want to” vs “have to” battle… have to wins every time. I want dawgs and killers on my team. None of that soft shit. If you’re gonna complain about getting hit at any point… don’t play football.

Coach Tuke is a heck of a ball coach. He wouldn’t put his players in harms way. He’s Old school, a guy that will push you to a limit you didn’t think you could reach! Everything we did was about being physical and playing fast. We beat the #3 in the country in 2014 cause we were tougher than them. Multiple upsets in my tenure. Because of toughness and mentality. When you play @SEMOfootball you better strap ya helmet up! Proud Alum!

NEW: SEMO football showcased a drill that is complete stupidity. This is EXACTLY how players end up getting hurt for no reason… 🤦‍♂️

Working a triangle on single ball carrier with no blocking is pure stupidity. Also, how soft are both defenders for going low on the ball carrier. It’s 3 of y’all and you’re cutting his legs. Not to mention being terrible teammates. Outlaw this dumb ass drill now. It’s on the coach. The players are just doing what they are told!

@Big_Steve5030 This has nothing to do with boys becoming men. This is a dumb drill that’s going to get players hurt unnecessarily. Bad coaching.

@D7ones_ This isn’t smart. No coaches run drills like this. This has nothing to do with being weak or tough. This is bad coaching and unsafe.

@JusttXae The initial post I responded to said that they were the top ranked nursing school in the country which is false. Crazy as a black man I’ve never been called racist for posting a fact 🤦🏾‍♂️😂. No hate from me. From nursing.org his statement & yours is not accurate.

@RoadSws “Best HBCU nursing school” Isn’t the category reported now is it? You’re obviously just trying to disprove a HBCU from the acoldes that it’s been rewarded to fuel your racist ego. They were voted best again for the 2nd year in a row. So cope and fck off.

We need to stop the mythologizing of HBCUs. They were necessary at a point in time, but now they are largely just mediocre colleges. I remember a kid that picked an HBCU over Harvard and Yale to "be around his people." It's a corrosive and stupid ideology.
Clemred21 on Bluesky@CaptoniousMonk

As a Black person, you have the rest of your life to be a minority in just about every space you’re in. Why not spend 4 years experiencing what it’s like to be the majority in your space. Mentally, it builds your confidence up and apparently it benefits your health too. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@OPhenoms GMs are going to go to school with top prospects that their college scouts have put high grades on. Why would GMs go to small school pro days if the school has no draftable prospects?

I bet you had at least 5 GMS or General Mangers here at Miami Pro day. All 32 teams as far as representation from All 32 teams had a Head Scout and pretty sure more than one Regional Scout. So those teams can stay consistent with regional talent, knowing not All there

@JusttXae Then just say the best HBCU nursing school then. To say that it’s the top nursing school in the country is false.

@RoadSws @JerseyNbr2 For fcks sake what will it take for you racist to let us have joy. The ranking is based off of votes, community support, and national recognition. They’re nationally recognized, one of the strongest HBCU nursing programs, and produces an overwhelming amount of Black nurses. 1/2

@SageAmenti Crazy I went to an HBCU and a PWI. Actually two PWIs because of Grad school. Never dealt with racism at either school, and all three schools was in the south.

@Phil_Lewis_ It's amazing what the lack of racism will do for the mind. Many health reports have detailed the harm of racism on Black people's physical and mental health. Racists will deny this because they don't have to live with pressures of being a racial minority in America.

Going to an HBCU might be better for Black students’ health, according to a recent study ‘At age 62, Black adults who had attended an HBCU had better memory and cognitive function than those who attended a PWI’ theguardian.com/us-news/2026/m…

@Phil_Lewis_ @ManSwac My son had a choice between LSU and Xavier (HBCU). I’m soooooo thrilled he chose Xavier! I want him to experience a world where he can just exist- that isn’t filled with micro aggressions and messages that he’s less than! I can only imagine what this will do for him!

@stevemagness Either you’re not an athlete or don’t have kids who are.. This has happened for years. Some kids need another year of development both on the court or with overall maturity. Families are allowed to do what’s best for them or their kids.

@jsu_hca The whole entire MEAC/SWAC landscape would have to change. Campus, housing, Facilities, coaching staff, training staff, conference prestige, strength of conference.. Things that take too long to change.

@SheLoves_THEE The question how do we change our young people minds well their families and minds to want to bring their talent to HBCUs. If 40% of top talent went to HBCUs things would change

HBCUs aren’t competing at a high level. The game should be closer. They shouldn’t be in the NCAA March madness the games are blowouts. Also:

@JerseyNbr2 I understand what you’re saying, but put yourself in the shoes of a parent w/ a top rated athlete as a child. You’re going to put that child in the best place to develop in their sport w/ the best nutrition, medical staff, academic support, & now NIL. That’s not at an HBCU.

@RoadSws Maybe I think too much in terms of "the greater good". We used to be more about building the community as we forge paths so the younger ones have an easier pathway. That chain is broken... we will *forever* be dependent on their acceptance & approval if we don't build our own.

@JerseyNbr2 True. Those schools also offered players what they needed & then took the money made to expand. We can’t expect top athletes to take less now to help build up HBCUs for later on when they won’t be there. Also, big schools have big $ collective & way more NIL opportunities.
