@tinyblue_dev @shitpost_2049 What's your analogy for the other two? I'd relate my Linux machine to a reliable older car model like my 2014 VW Jetta long lasting, low maintenance, and great mileage and power. Can't fit all the stuff the truck can but for 98% of usecases I don't need the Ford F-150.

Windows = Ford F150, everyones got one, its not special, it does the job, it also sucks, its also got problems, but it can pull a boat.
Windows is quite literally this to any person who actually understands computers.

In Mario Kart 7, snow can make the game (very appropriately) freeze. Driving in and out out of the tunnel on DS DK Pass to make snow start and stop quickly will overload the game's GPU with snow, freezing the game.

The file, called weights.bin, is part of Google’s Gemini Nano on-device language model and lands in the browser’s user data folder under OptGuideOnDeviceModel. It powers built-in AI tools such as “Help me write,” smarter tab suggestions, on-device scam detection, and page summarization. The download triggers automatically for devices meeting minimum hardware requirements, and Chrome often replaces the files if deleted. While the model processes data locally, installation happens in the background with minimal notification. The scale is noteworthy. Hundreds of millions or billions of installations add up to thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions globally from data transfer, even though each is a one-time event. To prevent or remove it, go to chrome://flags, disable the entries for the optimization guide on-device model and Prompt API, restart the browser, and manually delete the folder.

PlayStation 5 Gains Near-Native PS3 Game Support Through RPCS3 on Linux
In late April 2026, a modder named TheFlow released a tool called PS5-Linux. It allows Linux to run on the original PlayStation 5 consoles.
It works only on the first version of the PS5, called the Phat model, with older software versions 3.xx to 4.xx.
After Linux is running, you can install the free RPCS3 emulator.
Early tests show good results with some games can even play directly from the original PS3 disc, The PS5 is much more powerful than the PS3, so games often run faster and smoother and also look better with higher resolution.
There are limits:
>It only works on older software. Updating your PS5 will stop it from working.
>The newer slim PS5 models are not supported yet.
>This is not made by Sony. It is a community project.
>Setting it up requires some technical knowledge, but guides are available.
This development lets compatible PS5 consoles play nearly the full library of PS3 games at high quality.
