She stepped into her backyard expecting peace… just a quick check on her garden before the day got busy. But then she saw it. Something tall, smooth, and oddly perfect sticking straight out of the ground. At first, she shrugged it off; probably just a branch that fell overnight. But the longer she stared at it, the more wrong it felt. No leaves. No bark texture. Just… clean, almost too perfect. Like it didn’t belong there at all. Curiosity turned into unease. She snapped a photo, went inside, and ran a reverse image search. The result? Bamboo. But here’s the problem… she never planted bamboo. No one in her neighborhood had bamboo. Sometimes the scariest things aren’t obvious, they’re the ones that just… appear where they shouldn’t be. If you found something like this in your backyard overnight… would you touch it, or would you leave it alone and start asking questions?

I suddenly feel very blessed to be celebrating 20 years today with my wife. The first week I met her, I joked I'd leave the toilet seat up. She said that if I had to pick it up, she wasn't too good to put it down. 20 years and 4 kids later and she wasn't just saying cool things. She talks the talk and walks the walk and what a time we've had. I wish I could rewind and do it over again, not to change anything, but because I know the 20 years is a given. I don't know how many years we have left together and just in the past year I've had a lot of health scares. She's been my rock through it all, though, and I Praise God every night in prayer for bringing us together and guiding us through the years.

This has to be the most accurate and honest description of a wife.

You're putting it 💯 straight to him and he might not like what he's hearing, but one day (if not already), he'll love and respect the bluntness of your POV. My Grandfather used to tell it to me straight like that as well. He'd say down to the letter what would happen and show that he knew where my mind was and why I thought the way I did. Your son is blessed to have his father put the world bluntly to him and he'll do the same for his own one day. I think the best thing when doing this is to show that you DO understand where his mind is and why he might think the way he does. If he feels heard and understood, he'll more likely listen.

She's been posting TikToks (and now X clips) about parking her car on a public road to access the Colby Phillips Trails next to West Hanover Cemetery (est. 1829). Neighbors with private property nearby have blocked the trailhead with trucks/tractors and confronted her, claiming it's not public or harassing her over it. She insists it's open access and keeps going anyway, showing the trails, a cute frog statue, wildlife, etc. Her vids blew up, turning it into a public access debate. The "bringing people together" clip shows fans/supporters showing up to park there too, chat with her, and hike—proving her point that it's public land for everyone. Classic small-town NIMBY vs. public rights drama. Part 3 (her chat with the local chief) is still coming, she says.
