@darkbats_de@lotro That also includes body scaling; elf player will need to adjust that as well. I think some of the clipping issues are body scaling related. But we still have work to do on other scaling issues.
@CastleGrief@AndrewPMayer I haven't done SCA fighting in a long time, but there are fighters that go lighter armor for battlefield mobility and maybe to pull off some offensive maneuvers. I have less experience in list and I wore more complete armor.
Always in search of “the perfect game” for TTRPGs.
(I know it doesn’t exist.)
Some of my likes:
Low fantasy.
Gritty, deadly, not goofy or gonzo.
Armor as damage reduction.
Well supported with lots of tables + tools.
Setting not built in to rules.
How about you?
@CastleGrief@AndrewPMayer No one would wear armor if it made you "easier to hit." Even plated armors (outside jousting) allow a full range of fighting motion and do not detract from your guard and short range mobility. Sprinting will be slower and more tiring, and no acrobatics.
@AndrewPMayer Simple stuff like mork borg but with a flat reduction instead of a roll.
Black sword hack does the same. I like that armor makes you easier to hit as it gets heavier but potentially soaks more damage. Simple armor damage rules built in.
I’m working on a hack.
