@melodontm1ss How’s that been going for the fucking Cleveland Browns?
English

1. It's a massive advantage for Cleveland to play in snow/cold weather. They've had like three competent offensive seasons in the past two decades.
2. If Cleveland players aren't suited for playing in snow/cold weather, that's a roster building failure.
B H@heigely_weigley
You get 8 home games a year. 1-3 of them being totally blown up by weather is a massive disadvantage and the players in Cleveland are not any better at playing in 6 inches of snow and wind than the players in Tampa
English

@jim5283 @LakeEffectBro No. The Browns suck because they never have anyone competent running the franchise and they're not willing to spend top dollar to get premier free agents and when they do fork out big money it's to Deshaun Watson.
English

@LakeEffectBro @RobDFB if the browns had a huge advantage in shit weather games, they’d have a better record in shit weather games
English

@RobDFB @CoolOldSports @TCEonSGPN I’m sure if you were an owner and businessman you would see it differently.
But you are a fanboy with ZERO stake in the game. So of course you would make dumb decisions because it doesn’t affect your income.
English

Lifeless. Soulless. Corporate bullshit.
Football is a “weather element” sport at its core for teams who play in the north.
There’s not a single dome football stadium in existence that carries any level of uniqueness, charm or character.
Cleveland Browns@Browns
Built for the fans, by the fans.
English

@CTREM31 @CoolOldSports @TCEonSGPN Again ... the whole point:
Corporate influence overriding the entertainment value of the sport.
English

@CTREM31 @CoolOldSports @TCEonSGPN We're talking about a FOOTBALL stadium. Built for the purpose of watchin FOOTBALL. It should cater to ... wait for it ... FOOTBALL.
English

@RobDFB @CoolOldSports @TCEonSGPN And by shopping mall you mean a multi-purpose, climate controlled facility that can generate revenue for that community the entire year hosting events instead of a open aired archaic stadium that sits dormant for 9 months of the year.
English

Not to mention, if you watch at any NFL promo for the playoffs, they're going to cut to a player breathing visible in a cold-air setting, because the visual is awesome. It's football.
Sure, 3 months out of the season the weather is nice and cozy ... but the most significant games every year get played in the deep winter months. It's a weather-element sport.
English

@RobDFB @IvettaAbramyan @CoolOldSports What's crazy too is goes against the beliefs of the greats who built the game. George Halas, John Madden, etc all hated football in a dome and were against it.
Here's one of the many Madden clips shitting on it. He's spot on with his take too.
English

@RobDFB @CoolOldSports @TCEonSGPN And Seattle has slightly milder temps but they get that shitty cold rain
English

@CoolOldSports @IvettaAbramyan @TCEonSGPN As someone who works out of Denver and has been to Philly, New York & KC during those months, it absolutely can get down to the single digits with heavy snowfall.
This was two years ago:

English

You didn't include the full list of teams that battle the elements in their home stadium.
Kansas City gets cold in the winter.
Seattle gets cold in the winter.
Philadelphia gets cold in the winter.
Denver gets cold in the winter.
Baltimore gets cold in the winter.
New York gets cold in the winter.
Practice fields are inside due to maintenance concerns.
English

@RobDFB @TCEonSGPN Northern teams that play outside: New England, Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cincinnati, Green Bay. Only 2 won super bowls in that period. Western and Southern teams don’t need domes. Building toughness? Teams practice inside now
English

The "everybody is doing it so it's a good thing" argument isn't one that I'll ever get on board with.
15 of the last 16 Super Bowl champions play their games outdoors. Dome-football breeds controlled-weather success and consistency but it doesn't breed toughness, it doesn't test a team's ability to battle through adversity and it doesn't offer a unique home field advantage.
English

@RobDFB @TCEonSGPN New NFL stadiums are being built as domes. Reality except Buffalo. They are the new multi-use stadiums. You can use it year round. Also, in the North, it brings you the Super Bowl
