All love is "conditional". If it were not, there would be no value in it. If someone loves a horrible psychopath just as much as they love a saint, then that love is merely a throwaway. You surely want someone to love you for who you are, for the joy and meaning your presence brings them. That is conditional.

I’m back in the emergency room yet again. My tube has been leaking horribly for the last 4 days and the pain has been unbearable. I feel so weak, exhausted, and defeated. It’s hard not to lose hope when this keeps happening over and over again. I just want someone to finally listen, figure out what’s wrong, and help me get some relief because I truly don’t know how much more I can take.
