Samsung is still a huge brand with a massive global user base. The advantage of having such a large ecosystem is that there will always be developers willing to fill the gaps and improve areas that Samsung hasn't focused on yet. For example, glass-style clocks on the lock screen, or more advanced frosted glass widgets on the home screen. If Samsung doesn't make them first, someone else will bring these ideas to life. What you’re seeing now are creations from these developers. They are not official Samsung features, but they still look incredibly polished. Combined with the powerful customization of Samsung Good Lock, you get an amazing level of freedom and can create a clean, minimal, and truly beautiful setup.

@BernardBorio @UniverseIce Im not sure. The fold 8 might be the reason im going back to samsung after using the Honor magic V3. Can't stand Samsung's narrow fold display.

@UniverseIce In think that's the main reason this format will fail. People are used to long displays, and I can't see many of them liking a short one like this. I still think Z Fold 7 / 8 Ultra format is the best

What you're looking at is a true-to-scale size comparison between the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It's probably not what you expected, right? The Fold 8 actually looks much smaller and more compact than most people imagine. It doesn't feel like a huge tablet at all.

@TheRealZeeUltra @UniverseIce No, I looked at a fold7 recently at a shop. It is very narrow. Not as bad as its predecessors, but still noticeably worse than competitors eg from Honor

@UniverseIce I wouldn't say useless, but I prefer the best image quality, and sharpness.

Quick question: Do you think the privacy screen on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is actually useful? Is the added privacy worth the trade-offs in image quality, sharpness, and overall display performance? Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, or is it the other way around?

@AnxiousHolly Liquid glass and ios 26 made me buy an iphone after having android phones for about 15 years so i hope more changes in ios27.

Samsung One UI 8.5 Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Instant Brief widget comes in four different styles, and the second one is my favorite. I hope One UI 9 introduces more widgets with this frosted translucent glass design.

@AnxiousHolly I have been a note fan since the note 7 and I have to admit that it is better and I like it. I hope future folds follow.

I’ve confirmed from independent sources with 100% accuracy that the Galaxy S26 Ultra ultimately does not include built-in magnets inside the device. Magnetic functionality still relies on magnetic cases.

@UniverseIce I left, i miss goodlock the most among other things. Might go back if wide zfold is done right. On a Honor Magic v3 right now.

I spent a long time creating this image. This July, Samsung will release the Galaxy Wide Fold. The inner screen will still be 7.6 inches, but it will be completely different from the 7.6-inch screen of the Galaxy Z Fold6. The Wide Fold's inner screen ratio is 3:4, so it will look more like a tablet, which is very advantageous for watching videos. I'm more excited for the Wide Fold than for the Galaxy Z Fold8.

@UniverseIce Boycott Samsung ..... As a loyal Samsung user I will not buy S26 ultra. I have been using Samsung's S6 edg, S7 edg, S8 plus, S9 plus, Note 9, S10 plus, Note 20 ultra, S21 plus, S23 ultra, S24 Ultra, and still using it. I think I have to shift to iPhone now.

Samsung Galaxy S26 will feature the same cameras as the Galaxy S25=S24=S23=S22 😡😡😡😡 Samsung has set a record in the history of smartphones, but I have never seen a company so relentless in pursuing profits. Lee Jae-yong and Roh Tae-moon have no regard for consumers. In that case, why should we continue to support them? I urge everyone to boycott the Samsung Galaxy S26! Whatever they fear, we should do. The more they fear losing profits, the more we should make sure they lose them!
