My dad was a paramedic for 35 years. He wanted to volunteer to be part of the vaccine roll-out; to do his bit for the national effort. But because he hasn’t got two A-levels, he is ineligible. I repeat: he was a paramedic for 35 years. What an absolute farce.

@AyJayL Not sure there’s anything subconscious about that video. Clearly he’s had a run-in with Klopp. If that means his integrity has been compromised then he’s finished as a referee.

David Coote will take a lot of heat for that video, but let's be real, this will be across all referees. Subconscious bias is rife.

Trump made significant gains across all demographics, many of whom he spent time demonising or even threatening to deport. How on earth does anyone rationalise something that is so irrational? America is a deeply divided country. Trump, in my view, will only widen this divide.

The US has voted for a convicted felon whose former chief of staff described as a fascist and whose running mate once called ‘America’s Hitler.’ Unimaginable in most liberal democracies, but Trump’s an enigma for whom there’s no historical playbook. Sometimes, analysis is futile.

@cokkbeard @SamAS91_ I think GON is the ideal coach to stabilise a failing side, as he did with us and last season at Wolves. He’s well organised and structured. But he’s not someone who is going to take a club to the next level, which I suspect the hierarchy at Wolves will realise.

Watched The Book of Mormon yesterday, for the third time. It won’t be to everyone’s taste (it’s easy to tell by the gasps, who in the audience hasn’t seen it before), but it’s comfortably the best musical I’ve been to. Religious satire at its most cutting and thought-provoking.

I find it so hard to pick a favourite episode of Inside No 9. But A Quiet Night In, from series one, is genius. And since it’s a silent episode, it surely can’t be a coincidence that Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter has a part in it.

Trump now overtaking Harris in polling of the popular vote - in addition to his advantage in the swing states. It’s a good place for him to be in this final countdown stage as he’s definitely a confidence player. He’s funnier and more persuasive when he’s up and gets more mean when he’s down. Equally Democrat talking heads like Axelrod (eg after CNN’s Town Hall with KH) are no longer hiding their frustrations at her insipid campaign. Although the criticisms are sensitively delivered they wouldn’t be risking saying anything negative at all if they thought she was winning. To let Trump win once was unfortunate but to be beaten by him twice will be seen as unforgivable by a Democratic Party that may well tear itself apart in defeat, Its K-St and Left-wing constituent parts are largely kept together by power and a reckoning is coming… probably starting in ten days….
