£1bn of Recovery Grant funding has been allocated by government nationally. Cornwall’s allocation was £0. The criteria for this fund prioritised other areas.

The world knows this unforgettable melody and sings it in numerous languages. “Shchedryk” (Carol of the Bells), inspired by a Ukrainian folk carol, became a global symbol of Christmas. It was composed by Ukrainian Mykola Leontovych, born on this day in 1877. Leontovych was a teacher, composer, and choir conductor who dedicated his life to recording and revitalising Ukrainian folk songs.  His music carries a special kind of magic: no matter the language, the melody resonates with joy, hope, and the spirit of celebration.  Leontovych was tragically killed in 1921 by Soviet secret police for defending Ukrainian culture. But his legacy lives on, and "Shchedryk" continues to unite people around the world.

In Wales when you stand for election you have to list all the political parties you belong to. Chris Green stood against me as an Independent in May. Now I can see that he was a member of the Green Party, MK and Reform! Time we had a similar rule!
