Help! We really need folks to teach Anthropology courses in the Fall: anthro.rutgers.edu/news-events/an… Our per course Lecturer minimum is now $7788. Plus we need a 1-year full time person to teach primatology and/or human behavoral ecology courses.

@bergeycm Also, $70k is contractual minimum. I will always make the argument up about what the market demands.

Any primate folks interested in a teaching gig at Rutgers anthro? New Brunswick, NJ isn't an awful commute from NYC, I can attest.

@MSBbirds @siobhanmattison The big problem is that the job is nonrenewable. No one wants to relocate for $70k and NO future. I explained this to Dean-land. What do you do when socialism says offer more to be just and capitalism says offer more to fill the position and Deans are just like, nah?

@RobScottAnthro @siobhanmattison I feel yur frustration, but also i hope this is the market saying ‘pay more!’ The job sounds hard to me, particularly bc no guarantee you’ll ever get to use all that teaching prep work again
