Head of a Russian political party, Sergey Mironov, and his new wife, have adopted a child kidnapped from Ukraine. Russian media"Vazhnye Istorii" has obtained documents confirming that the 70-year-old MP, leader of the party "A Just Russia" Sergey Mironov, who actively supports the war, together with his wife Inna Varlamova adopted a child kidnapped from Ukraine. At the end of August 2022, Inna Varlamova arrived in Kherson region together with Mironov's first deputy in the State Duma, Yana Lantratova. They did not leave alone. The local occupation authorities issued power of attorney for them to take out two children - 10-month-old Margarita Prokopenko and two-year-old Ilia Vashchenko, Hromadske reported. These children lived in an orphanage in Kherson before the full-scale war began. In December 2022, Sergey Mironov and Inna Varlamova adopted Margarita Prokopenko, taken from Kherson. She was just over a year old. At the request of the adopters, the personal data of the child can be changed, which was done: the girl became Marina Sergeevna Mironova. Her name and parents were changed, but also the place of birth: instead of the Ukrainian Kherson - Podolsk near Moscow. According to "Vazhnye Istorii", this is the first documented case of adoption of a Ukrainian child by a Russian politician of such rank. According to lawyers interviewed by the publication, from the point of view of international law, this can be qualified as a war crime and is considered genocide.

My wife was told by a Child Protective Services (CPS) Director that in her many years of experience: Every successful reunification of a child back with their parents that actually lasted… a local church was involved in the story 100% of the time. Let that set in for a minute.

Yesterday, I found out that my brother Tim died. It's been a long and complicated road. Too much to unload here. I am just happy that he is finally at peace. youtube.com/watch?v=J0IXJN…

Area schools are starting up again. Some schools have already started while others start soon. Please stop for the school buses and slow down in those school zones. The kiddos are depending on you!

Here's why I only preach 25-30x per year... 1) "We" is always better than "me." 2) Preaching is only part of pastoring. 3) If others don't preach, we won't have preachers! 4) Kingdom opportunities beyond Grace. 5) People need varied perspectives. 6) It's my current conviction.

Yesterday, there were many pastors that faithfully preached the Gospel. Most of them: -don’t have a large social following -will never be published -won’t ever speak at a Conference -are overworked & under paid But, they’re faithful to Jesus and His Church. They’re my heroes!

AB 665 in California has passed the senate. It is predicted that it will pass the assembly, and Newsom has already sworn to sign it into law. 12 year olds will be given the ability to decide if they want to live at home, or if they want to go under the care of the State of California into a shelter. In California, legislators believe that no one under the age of 26 should be interrogated by an attorney because their prefrontal cortex is not yet fully developed. They have also passed bills stating that vape manufacturers cannot target anyone under the age of 26 for the same reasons. Yet they are willing to give children the ability to leave home. Children will have the ability to tell a school counselor that “they don’t feel supported” and they can be removed and rehomed without parental knowledge. 12 year olds also have medical privacy in California, which means parents will not be given a reason but will still be financially responsible for care. #AgeOfConsent #California

Spoke this morning to youth at a camp I am teaching at for the week on “Scary Bible Verses” - and reminded of how much to be appreciating todays youth leaders at churches. Youth ministry was so much easier 20 years ago then it is today and so incredibly important of what youth leaders do and may we respect and honor their dedication to Jesus and what they do with youth.

In all the years I’ve known Jesus, God has never failed me. But that doesn’t mean that my heart has never been broken through painful circumstances and suffering. Psalm 56:8 says, “You keep track of all my sorrows.” Isn’t that an amazing statement? God cares.
