@FPLVillan Don’t really have any players that are competent at playing a forward pass. Desperate for Tielemans to come back.

Pretty confident we’ll win this tie but man do we need an overhaul of attacking options. Painful to watch at times

Hi Rob, not that I'm aware of- use it on Chrome myself! Considering it's working for you on Edge it may be an extension interefering? Alternatively it might be worth testing switching the chrome setting for hardware acceleration on/off as it's plausible this could have an effect

@fplreview Are there any known issues with the website on Chrome? For 2-3 weeks it's be running really slowly. Works fine on Edge.

@nickgoff79 Lacroix is playing Man United. Wharton was playing Wolves.

Can we explain why that's a red for Lacroix but Wharton on Mane last week wasn't?

@sportdw It seems so obvious to me that we have no one that can play a forward pass with our injuries. Sancho the only one that can create something and he gets taken off for Bailey!?

Probably our worst performance in years and continues a very worrying downturn recently. Never really looked like scoring and most damningly, we almost didn’t look like we cared…

@SeamusORobson Bailey has done nothing but give the ball away in that half 🤦‍♂️

I have no idea what anyone was thinking from that corner. Digne goes to take it, leaving one less man back, Bailey just cannot give it away then, Bizot has no business being anywhere near there. All in last minute of first half….stupidity

@mixedknuts @Carra23 John McGinn recently said that Rogers benefited from being signed with Puma because he got to practice with the ball earlier. Coincidence?

We need Monday Night Football (UK version) to get PL footballs from the last five years and conduct a study on whether the balls this season are juiced. I know @Carra23 only scores own goals, but maybe they can sub in some thumpers to help test the post-strike velocities?

@sportdw Agreed. Liverpool presumably want some compensation for changing the loan terms which Villa don't feel they should provide. We could really use Elliot right now as we aren't blessed with good passers with the injuries.

This feels like it just reflects badly on both Villa and Liverpool. Given the situation, unlikely to get any games at Villa, but understandable why Liverpool don’t want to renegotiate, but feels the clubs could have found some agreement that doesn’t leave Elliott in this position

@FPLFocal There’s been more defcon points this season due to the style of football so might have been more balanced in previous seasons?

Defcon has probably knocked the balance off slightly too much, so maybe 5 or 6 points per goal for FWDs could work well?

It's a defender's job to keep clean sheets and points are awarded for it. A striker's job is to score but they get fewer points for it than other positions. Forwards do get more BPS for goals but mids are always by far the top scoring position (compare how many players are on 100+ points by position right now). Should forwards get more per goal?

@sportdw And with no Kamara and McGinn! Hopefully able to get a midfielder in for the remainder of the season.

Two wins and two clean sheets away to Fenerbahce and Newcastle in the space of 4 days are two really big results for us, particularly against one of the more likely teams that could catch us…

@sportdw Agreed. Must be something lined up to let our back up striker leave. Our transfer strategy has been a high turnover of players more recently.

Without knowing exactly what incomings we have planned, can’t be sure, but letting Malen go feels a strange decision at this stage…

@BenColeyGolf The ref went to the screen in the Villa game at the weekend and didn't give a red card offence... Presumably was asked to go and look at it because he didn't give a foul so didn't see it

On field review is the silliest farce in football. I don’t understand why they don’t just give the penalty on behalf of the referee. Why go through that charade?

@sportdw I wondered if Watkins was in decline or it's to do with us not creating much. Possibly a mixture of the two. It's a shame Emery doesn't fancy Elliot as it seems he'd help with the creativity.

@Rob_Ban95 Pretty much my feelings. Watkins is still a big concern for me and whether he is on the decline and still doesn’t feel like Rogers is close to his best, but puts us in a solid position as players improve hopefully…

Genuinely have no idea whether Villa are any good this season or not. But to be in 4th after 12 games with those question marks is a great place to be. Still think we need to improve to sustain this, but finding ways to get results even while not playing that well…
