A decision I’ve made: I’m done tolerating people casually using the word “fascist” to describe their political opponents. It’s a term that describes totalitarian national socialists (“Nazis”) that we fought a world war to defeat. As far as I’m concerned, when you describe your political opponents with that label, you are inciting political violence. I don’t need you to change your opinions. I don’t need you to change your beliefs. I will fight for your right to believe what you want in America. But we need to end political violence, and if you are a part of inciting it, you are a part of the problem. You will have lost my respect, my support, my business, and my partnership.
