Shame on @23andMe . I tried to delete my data, entered a circular doom loop of notifications which included locking out of my account. This is not right. You MUST allow us to delete our data - PERIOD. Always - but particularly now that our data will be sold by a bankrupcy judge.

@Sams_Antics Where we differ seems ( ?) to be that you deem consciousness/emotions to be mandatory for self-preservation to be prioritized. I don't think that's mandatory at all for the various reasons discussed in the episode...

@Rob_Reid I’m pretty sure we’ve not yet put together the pieces necessary for an AGI that would have a sense of self, fear / survival needs, etc. Those would be needed for “it” to be shy. LLMs alone aren’t sufficient. >90% chance we figure out AGI, and ASI seems near certain after that.

@Sams_Antics Yes to having read those - and thanks for the kind words about creating again. wrt your 0% estimate - curious what you find impossible? That we'll reach AGI? That AGI would lead to Super AI? That a startup could possibly lose control of an AI? Or...?

@Rob_Reid One thing you didn’t mention: would a new superAI also try to destroy other emerging AIs (“there can be only one”)? That would be another clue.
