The problem with today’s billionaire class isn’t that they don’t pay taxes or give to charity. It’s that they spend the fortunes they have amassed on self-pleasing niche initiatives that baffle most Americans — and then use their permanent NGO class to hijack state and federal money for their causes. Andrew Carnegie gave away his fortune building the public library system. The Rockefellers built the University of Chicago and Rockefeller University, funded the YMCA and eradicated hookworm. The giving of today’s multi-billionaires seems autistic in comparison, detached from the hopes and needs of ordinary people and subject to the blinkered gatekeeping of professional philanthropic administors. Bill Gates genetically modifying mosquitoes in Kenya is something Dr. Evil would do. Fighting climate change in the Philippines helps zero Americans in any practical way. Ordinary Americans don’t want to penalize success. They want to feel like they are part of a common endeavor that includes the luckiest and most successful among us. They want to see billionaires who use their talent for innovation actively giving back to their communities in imaginative and concrete ways that benefit people outside of Silicon Valley. If that doesn’t happen, it’s going to get harder to get rich in America and keep your money — which will be bad for everyone.

Montana’s tribal communities deserve reliable infrastructure and water security- that’s why finishing the Fort Belknap’s Indian water rights settlement is an absolute must-do.

“There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country.” President Theodore Roosevelt “Nothing is more conservative than conservation” Russell Kirk and my favorite quote of all time: “You are worried about what man has done and is doing to this magical planet that God gave us. And I share your concern. What is a conservative after all but one who conserves, one who is committed to protecting and holding close the things by which we live…And we want to protect and conserve the land on which we live — our countryside, our rivers and mountains, our plains and meadows and forests. This is our patrimony. This is what we leave to our children. And our great moral responsibility is to leave it to them either as we found it or better than we found it.” President Ronald Reagan

Abraham Lincoln, the first GOP president, protected Yosemite. Grant created the world's first national park, Yellowstone. Theodore Roosevelt, well, he did too much to list here! Eisenhower protected the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Nixon signed all the great environmental acts we take for granted today. Reagan pushed for the Montreal Protocol, which has prevented more GHG emissions than any other presidential act in history. GHW Bush declared no net loss of wetlands. Donald J. Trump @POTUS signed the Great America Outdoors Act, fully funding LWCF for five years for the first time in its history and investing massive amounts of money in restoring our crown jewel national parks.

Closed loop water systems fix the water problem for data centers. (If people are really concerned about water scarcity, they should look into golf courses built in arid areas.) Behind the meter power generation allays consumer electricity price hikes. Just build them to fit architecturally into a location (don't build a giant concrete box).

If mass surveillance is the problem, address mass surveillance by enforcing the constitution. Require a warrant before criminal searches. Banning data centers isn’t the appropriate solution at all.

People are scared about data centers facilitating AI mass surveillance. If exposure to mass surveillance is the concern, I would suggest people should be far more worried about the very real laws proposed which mandate ID verification to access the internet/social media.

Every single dollar fraudulently stolen from taxpayer funded programs is a dollar that doesn't feed the hungry, that doesn't provide healthcare to the sick, that doesn't mend national park infrastructure...it's a dollar the government took from us that we couldn't spend as we see fit...or it's a borrowed dollar our great grandchildren will be forced to repay. Go get'em @VP.

@newtgingrich Just received this text from you (😉). I think if the Senate were to pass a piece of legislation that enjoys 80% public support (The Save America Act), the @HouseGOP will remain the majority. What do you think @BasedMikeLee ?

@KatyTurNBC Even Dietrich Bonhoeffer, writing in Nazi Germany, knew. "American democracy is founded not upon emancipated man but, quite the contrary, upon the kingdom of God and upon the limitation of all earthly powers by the sovereignty of God."

@KatyTurNBC It'd be well worth your time to get a copy of Render Unto Caesar by Archbishop Chaput...if you want to understand where our rights come from, and what the Founding Fathers believed. Your comment about Mike Johnson's comment is so unbelievably uninformed.

Our rights come from God, not government. Thank you to the @WhiteHouse for inviting me to the premiere of “At Dawn’s Early Light” at the Kennedy Center last night. The film exposed the persecution of Christians during the Biden administration including the testimonies of pro-life warriors like 89-year-old Eva Edl, a survivor of a communist concentration camp. The Biden DOJ attempted to imprison her for ELEVEN YEARS for sitting in her wheelchair at the entrance of an abortion clinic. She had made peace with the likelihood that she would die behind bars. Then President Trump pardoned her. That’s the difference between an administration that weaponizes the law against the faithful and one that restores it. Watch this film. Share it. These stories must never be forgotten.

@amconmag Reading Archbishop Chaput's book, Render Unto Caesar. He makes a compelling case that Americans are incapable of rekindling that spirit of sacrifice....because they've forgotten God.
