@RobbieDidThat @BBall_Logician Yeah it wasn’t meant to be a gotcha. Just adding context that two of the schools on that list have been really good in recent history. Have never been a Wofford hater until you wanted to go all “fuck Winthrop” here.

@adarrellgadsden @BBall_Logician I know Prosser was at Wofford again a lot more recently than that. I went to camp with him and CMY several times. He’s a good man and a good coach. Was at Wofford from 2002-2003, but also 2008-2011.

@RobbieDidThat @SeahawkDave If I'm VCU I really like the A10 as is and wouldn't leave for anything but the Big East. You got VCU, Richmond, GMU, GWU and Davidson as a nice regional bloc. You get exposure in NYC, Philly and Chicago and you get to play excellent basketball programs Dayton and St. Louis

This sounds fun until you're in it and they still won't give you multiple bids or any p# games.

@TimmyH2 @SeahawkDave VCU is definitely probably wishful thinking but perhaps with the regional rivalries they’d find in said league they’d jump for it. They’d also be the richest program in the league as far as basketball funding.

@RobbieDidThat @BBall_Logician We haven’t played since 2013. Literally during a period of irrelevance for the Eagles. Doesn’t matter though, hopefully they schedule us next year and I hope yall beat us.

@TimmyH2 @SeahawkDave Agreed, but I think making it more localized would help teams like Davidson, Richmond, etc that have trouble with the travel costs of all sports being A-10 as well.

@ThomasStokes3 100% agree that could be an issue. If you go 16 team league though and throw in Mercer & Samford, you got 10 with Davidson.

@RobbieDidThat @TimmyH2 I think the TV money is the trick. There's a reason the power # have expanded beyond their standard geography. More eyeballs more money. But if you stay too local you lose some of that selling point (for the TV money). I'm all in from a fan point. A lovely thought experiment.

This year your league was shit against the Big South was my point and it’s often up to the larger wealthier D1s to decide who they’re going to play down the pecking order. Our coach was literally on your staff at one point.

You said Wofford never played the top Big South teams, wrong Wofford does all the time and literally owns them. You said the Big South was a better ranked league than the SoCon, unequivocally false. You said we won’t schedule you, Winthrop will not schedule Wofford since they got beat on when they did.

You aren’t going to the tourney if you were playing in the SoCon in like 90% of your title years in the Big South.
