MARATHON TRAINING COMPLETE 🥹 4 months of running, 500 miles covered and plenty of days and nights training has now come to an end. Very emotional day- I must admit tried my hardest not to cry but hey ho. Now to rest and prepare for the big day on Saturday. To finish with a hug from my old man, meant everything. Doing it for you dad, for those years you spent suffering ❤️

We're sad to report that Henry Rono has passed away, aged 72. In a span of just 81 days in 1978, Rono set world records in the 3000m, 3000m steeplechase, 5000m and 10,000m. Rono held both 3000m (7:32.1) and 3000m steeplechase WR's (8:05.4) from 1978 to 1989. The Kenyan set the 5000m WR on two occasions in 1978 (13:08.4) and 1981 (13:06.20). He also broke the 10,000m WR (27:22.47) by almost eight seconds and held it from 1978 to 1984. 📸 @AthleticsImages

I may not be a professional athlete anymore but i’m still enjoying running for therapeutic/ health reasons, i’ve found it to be a great benefit to my mental & physical health & also allowed myself to appreciate the social aspects that running brings via training with a group.

I want my art to make other autistic / neuro diverse people to understand their minds and to know that mastering their thoughts is a difficult daily challenge but once mastered, the magic and rewards are endless.
