My dear friends, Doug and Brenda gave me a St. Joe meat market gift card for my birthday. I finally used it today, and it was wonderful. Two beautiful 1 inch ribeye steaks. One rare and the other mid-rare.

A short, but sweet visit with Keith this morning. Keith and I met 53 years ago in Chicago, and have been like brothers ever since. Always a pleasure to see Keith and do some catching up. Next visit, we'll get on the lake and do some fishing.

I'm waking up with a headache and stiff neck this morning due to how violently anti-ICE activist, Chris Ostroushko, shoved me down yesterday. A second angle shows that he had to be held back by 5 men as he continued to charge at me. I didn't speak a word to him all day yet he repeatedly called me a bitch and very clearly looks like he wanted to violently hurt me even worse than he did. I'm happy to report that charges will be brought against this man, his wife and daughter.

These “if something were to happen to me” posts are insane. Maybe I missed it, but his decline from the Evergreen free speech champion to this is sad. I think it’s got something to do with the act of podcasting. It’s toxic.
