Throwback weekend may be officially gone but I’m still throwing it back today. Never worn and needs cleaned up a little but it’ll do.

@GoDucks5_Mick @J_Allgaier It's a refreshing trend, but the Cup guys still shouldn't be there. Not because the O'Reilly or Truck drivers aren't good enough - I don't agree with that at all. It's because the Cup guys benefit from several advantages that don't make it a fair fight.

Daniel Suarez addressed his run-in with Ross Chastain yesterday in a new video on his YouTube channel. >Suarez says he came over to Ross after the race in order to apologize for their run-in in Turn 2 and explain what happened. Felt like what happened between them was just racing, but he was "upset and disappointed" with what happened afterwards and what Ross said to him on pit road "I have known Ross for a long time, and I have always known that he and I were very different kind of people. But that's okay. I have a lot of respect for him. But the kind of words that he said after the race, it's just completely unacceptable. That's chicken stuff, that's not good. I lost a lot of respect for him as a person, because it's just not good. It's not a good look for him and not a good look for the kind of person that he is, I think. "And it was just a little bit sad, to be honest. I really wanted to, I was getting fired up to fight, but what was I going to gain? There's nothing to gain with that. He's not the kind of person I really want to fight. But just disappointed." >Suarez mentioned he took issue with Ross hitting him on the cooldown lap, mentioning it was "unacceptable" given that drivers loosen their belts (and sometimes even open them completely) at that time, and that Ross apparently denied doing this. "I said to him, 'hey, you hit me on the backstraightaway.' He said, 'No I didn't.' I said, 'You hit me on the straightaway. You turned right and you hit me.' He said, 'Oh, you were next to me,' I said, 'I was giving you the hand. I apologized for what happened three laps before.' And obviously, he completely forgot about what happened on Lap 2." >Suarez said that he had an issue with his left front on the last run of the race that affected the way his car drove, which influenced him crowding Ross off Turn 2. He said he understood Ross was mad, but he thought it was a little unnecessary Ross gave him the finger for a lap or half a lap (based on Suarez's onboard it looked like Chastain flipped him off as he completed the pass all the way until they got to Turn 3) >Daniel started by referencing the contact between him and Ross on Lap 2, which he said wasn't a big deal and didn't influence the way he raced Ross the rest of the day. "I'm pretty sure that he didn't mean to do that. It's part of racing." >Suarez overall thought that Ross crossed the line with what he said to him. Based on lip reading/enhanced audio that's gotten posted it seemed like Ross made some comment about the end of Suarez's time at Trackhouse ("You got fired!") >Incidentally, Suarez also addressed the idea that he's been out to get the Trackhouse cars and has been racing them especially aggressively, which he denied. "I'm not even thinking about that"

The RCR thing is weird. It’s easy to claim RC is giving the “good stuff” to Austin. But I truly think KB just has no handle on this car much like Tony Stewart with the Gen 6. SHR ran great with Busch and Harvick. Stewart was awful even before the injuries.

YES! Expect that very thing to go up soon! First on the list … Scene MUST be preserved for history’s sake. What else? @ReganSmith won Talladega. Stroker Ace Is the greatest NASCAR movie of all time. Call Talladega Nights the GOAT and it’s an automatic ejection off the premises. Driving the pace car is the greatest job in racing. Abolish the yellow-line rule and stage points. Give me a season-long championship format any day. What’s on YOUR written-in-stone NASCAR list?
Mike M@MarvelousMike94

@TheSceneVault The studio needs a sign that states that officially by declaration of the Podcast these “truths” must be acknowledged - Bobby Allison won 85 races - Mark Martin Won the 1990 Winston Cup Championship -Ricky Rudd beat Davey Allison at Sears Point/Sonoma in 1991 🤘
