@billmeltzer He is a backup at the end of the day. I don't think there is much need for a serious discussion regarding Ersson. Either be a reliable backup, or the team has to move on. Consistency is the issue. Hopefully, he cleans it up.

Samuel Ersson has had two 6+ week stretches the last two seasons where he's played very well. Not just "a start here and there" like his critics say. His real problem has been groin injuries and very slow returns to form after those injuries. Does he need to stay healthier and avoid long down stretches? Absolutely yes. But is he a "legit NHL goalie"? Also yes. Raw numbers are rarely the full story.

Bad Goaltending is a blast to the last for the Flyers. Dan Vladar will sign an extension by June 1st or shortly thereafter. Vladar finished with a 2.18 GAA, and a .922 Save Percentage in the playoffs. Talk about being an MVP, a leader, putting the team on his back #Flyers

What’s your plan? If you’re going to call someone a fool, then I want to know what’s so foolish about keeping Ersson. He’s going to require about the same amount of value after finally regaining his confidence, and you can’t really beat that in the backup goaltender market.

@NHL If you want fans to get into watching hockey how about you broadcast games when people can watch them. For example, you would get a lot more viewers watching your playoff games this Sunday May 10th if the games were on during the day. Not at 7pm and 9:30pm on a Sunday!

@Scuba_Steve161 When your team gets 3 glorious scoring chances early in the game gifted to them by opposition break downs and your players again fail to take advantage by missing nets or making bad passes, that’s not on the coach. But that doesn’t fit your agenda so you don’t mention that.

Blaming Tocchet or crying about Michkov’s TOI means you’re a dummy. I’ll also throw in that TK needs to be better but acting like he’s the main issue is laughable as well. Hes going no where and neither are Tocchet or Michkov. Grow up
