Strawberry Season 🍓
by Sara L Russell 20th May 2025 at 01:00am
It was Strawberry Season.
Audrey was in full bloom,
and somewhat bored
so looked for novel ways to light the gloom;
and her gardener was twenty
with a wilderness of hair;
and sea blue eyes,
and so she sought some recreation there.
There was ardour in the parlour
passion savoured in sips
roses unfurled
as she fed strawberries to his rosy lips.
They drank sloe gin and sherry
in a soporific haze;
behind tall trees,
to wallow in each other’s loving gaze.
It was Strawberry Season
and Audrey didn’t care
what people said
about her and the youth with tousled hair
For he was a fast worker,
kept the garden neat and trim;
and in her bed
fulfilled her every fantasy and whim.

Hey @RobinOuzman I added your book ad to the main page of wherehouse.uk 😺 it is above where the cartoon adventure begins. It's in 2 columns with the book thumbnail on the left and the ad copy on the right. See also my email
After an infuriating stunt by @wordpressdotcom, forcing everyone to update website's databases **with no warning whatsoever** (no support either) the August episode of The Perils of Norris can now be viewed at Poetry Life & Times @RobinOuzman@PoemTrees ⬇️
