ENTER ANGUS TAYLOR: The Silent Empire While the media fixated on Albo’s single residential purchase, the newly elected Liberal leader, Angus Taylor, sits atop a vast property empire that remains largely unscrutinized by the same MSM outlets. Here is what the media isn't "ramming" him for: • Massive Land Holdings: Taylor holds interests in nearly 3,000 hectares of New South Wales land. This includes over 2,500 hectares held through corporate structures like Maclaughlin River Holdings No. 2. • The "Blue-Chip" Windfall: Before moving to his electorate, Taylor and his wife, Louise Clegg, sold a five-bedroom mansion in the exclusive Sydney suburb of Woollahra for $6.77 million. They netted a $2.47 million capital gain on that single property alone. (Don't mention CGT) • A Web of Trusts: Unlike a straightforward residential mortgage, Taylor’s interests are buried in a network of private companies and family trusts, including Gufee Pty Ltd, the AJ & L Taylor Family Trust, and the Maclaughlin River Land Trust No. 1. • Recent Acquisitions: Between May 2023 and June 2025, four properties were transferred into his corporate structures with no price listed, including 2,000 hectares in Mount Cooper and 500 hectares in Holts Flat. • The "Regional" Investor: His portfolio includes a $860,000 parcel in Bemboka bought in 2021 and a 140-hectare property in Gundary that serves as a registered address for his family trust. The Targeted Bias The contrast is staggering. A $4.3 million family home for a Labor PM triggers a "weeks-on-end" media crisis about being "out of touch." Meanwhile, a Liberal leader with an estimated nine properties, thousands of hectares of land, and a history of multi-million dollar blue-chip flips enjoys a quiet transition to power.
