Rob started writing his 2nd novel

I’ve picked up a lot of new followers and wanted to do a quick intro so you know what you’ll get. I’m a nice guy with a penchant for the silly. I also like deep/inspiring thoughts. I’m writing my first novel; will publish this year. I have a Sweet Bride. ♥️ I promote writers.

Less is more. Much more. Writers fall in love with their manuscripts and try to say everything. Don’t. You’re not writing a synopsis. You’re inviting the reader in. Give them just enough to step inside your world and want more. Hi #writingcommunity I'll be writing the back cover blurb for my 1st novel soon. I'm self-publishing this summer. What's a quick tip to do (or don't do) before I dig in? I'd like to get it right by my 500th iteration. 😉

@Robinov14 Lots of useful replies. Consider a “headline.” My recent suspense novel headline: A bitter storm. A quiet death. A whispered lie. I pop into my local bookstore regularly. Headline is great way to convey a lot in a few words. Much success to you! #WritingCommunity

I was giving my mother a shower, and asked her to hold the shower head while I shampooed her hair. She turned the shower head on me. It was not an accident. That little imp laughed wiht glee. I'm taking to my bed again.

Just got my first full manuscript request!!!! I'm sweating 🥵

So I’m sitting in my car at my son’s baseball practice yesterday - windows down, enjoying the sun, computer in my lap while I edit. I realize when this lady walks by eyeing me, that I’ve been acting out dialogue for several characters way too loud as I edit. Pretty sure the entire team thinks I’m bananas. 🤣
