Sanskrit "samsara" means "course" or "passage" but Malay "sengsara" means "suffering"

Also a lot of words have changed their semantics. A notable example is the word "cinta", which originally means "thought" or "worry" in Sanskrit, but the meaning has shifted to "love" or "affection" in Malay.

I think it's funny how both the Germans and the French call the war of 1870 the German-French war (Guerre franco-allemande and Deutsch-Französischer Krieg) but in English it's commonly referred to as the Franco-Prussian war. Do the English not recognise German Unification?
