@sblomkamp it's nowhere near as bad as those threads would make you believe,and there's no direct way for admins to read DMs, they'd have to go digging through the database (which is true for every other service out there, including cohost), and the devs are already working on encrypted DMs

@RobotBrush i imagine a lot of devs were caught with already set prices but all the new games will be more expensive and a lot of other devs will wise up to the price hike i only worked on f2p games on steam so idk if valve notifies you that you should gouge your players or not

@RobotBrush @zkyyyyyyyyyyy For better or for worse market will show them few things. When sales drop devs will need to look for solutions. After all they still have power to set their own prices.

@zkyyyyyyyyyyy @dex3108 yup, big publishers aren't going to follow the new recommendations anyway, but now also all the games from the small devs who were using the defaults will be completely out of reach for most of the poorest regions
