I just don’t see what Melbourne would want in a 31 year old Zach Merrett. A bloke who has a history of running one way who only has 3-4 years left. There are at least 100 AFL players I’d rather Melbourne go after than Zach Merrett.

You could argue that Dave Mundy’s 376 games is a greater achievement than Pendles, Boomer etc because of the amount of travel he had to endure. It’s a lot easier traveling back and forth from the G to Marvel most weeks in a car than getting on a plane every fortnight.
