everything he said from the book sounds true right? but here are the flaws: 1) the young man was referred to as a young youth it did not say Lazarus, he was the one interpretating it as Lazarus. 2) it said a certain woman, it did not mention her name, he was the one interpreting it as Mary Magdalene. 3) The young boy wore linen to cover his naked body, so the fabric of his cloth was made from linen material which was the common material for rich people in those days. is the cloth not meant to cover his naked body? why do we wear cloth in the first place. So, in essence the writer was saying, the individual is a young youth, and he was rich which was why he was able to afford a cloth made of linen material which was common among rich people in the olden days. Was Lazarus the only dead person Jesus raised then? NO, his case was just used as an example to showcase the possibility of the dead raised back to life, even the book of john said that the miracles Jesus did was so much that it could not be contained in his book. The writer wrote according to the level of vocabulary they had in those days, if Jesus was intimate with the man, it would have been stated there because they had words to describe intimacy then. so, you did not ask what the young man was doing during the day that made him come by night, was he just rich because money fell from the sky? did he not have a business that he was running during the day? what was the nature of the business occupation that made men rich in Bethany and what was the daily time frame? also was Jesus just laying down all day doing nothing? did He too not have business doing during the day too? how could they afford to pay for accommodation in Bethany? the food they ate was from where? the cloths they wore how did they get it? So, it makes sense that he came by night because the night-time was usually when Jesus and he was free from the business of the day. Even Nicodemus came by night to ask Him questions, and they had a conversation.
