28 years ago today I had my first on-air shift at @weathernetwork. It’s been a magnificent ride and I continue to be grateful for being allowed to do what I love for so long.

Well that didn't take long. One week on #Instagram & my account got suspended! No explanation. To get it back: First they wanted my photo. Then my email. Then my phone #. And then a photo of my passport. I drew the line there. Not a chance. Not worth it. Who knows what next?

Thanks Peter. The analogy I've used in the past: winter in NL is that guest that shows up to the party empty-handed yet is first in line for seconds at the buffet table. Drains your bar, clogs the toilet, throws up on the drapes & then asks you for cab fare home. #nlwx

@MurphTWN I do the same thing! They usually don't call back either.

Not sure what you do when you get spam calls, but I don't say hello nor do I let vm pick it up. I just swipe the answer button & say nothing. If it really is someone legit, they will say "hello". Don't let them get samples of your voice. Plus it feels like you are scamming them!

A few days away to the #CaymanIslands It was nice to see some sun & warmer temperatures. The winds were chilly & it rained, but it was better than the snow squalls and 10cm of snow on Saturday in Paisley. Starfish point was amazing @MurphTWN @weathernetwork #ShareYourWeather

Someone at work said "how can you afford to vacation so much?" Here is my response "Travel is important to me. I work hard, save up, stack my vacation days, & rack up Aeroplan points on everyday spending to make trips more affordable, life's too short not to go when you can!"

Of course it's recycling & compost pick up day in my neighbourhood. Although there's very little left in anyone's bins as the debris is flying everywhere, along with the bins!
