Players get yourself sign-up with this app and enjoy a summer of great work-outs. Coaches send this to your players so they can get better this off-season when working on their game alone. I wish I had this when I was younger.

@Matt_M_Mooney Look at this basketball app. "Video game turned real life" "AI to improve your shot and simulate game competition" youtubeeducation.com/watch?t=51&v=d… form.jotform.com/252525896404160

Two of my sons weren’t talented enough as basketball players to play D1 or get recruited by D1 coaches. That’s a reality. I shared my take on their talent level as it was and as it progressed. I never thought those two were D1. See how that works. I was honest about my opinion and my takes without allowing my paternal bias to lead the way. That didn’t prevent me from supporting them or supporting their dreams. It didn’t prevent me from continuously telling them to shoot for the stars. And it never prevented me from sharing what I thought their abilities were. It didn’t define them as people or as players. Both have thanked me numerous times in their adult life for being real with them.

@ctrumpour That is the way actually. The summer before our 2014 State Championship season @SilerJoe5 who played on MOKAN EYBL played a very limited June schedule. It helped other guys to have to do more things which helped us in the season.

@RodBriggs3 Some of the best HS coaches/programs have the best players play AAU and not worry about their summer league playing time. Double dipping doesn’t necessarily make the kid better. Let the work out with the team but use the summer for lower level kids to develop them.

Many players went from their high school season straight to AAU and back to high school team again next week. Then back to AAU in July. Crazy schedule when you think about it.

@904KANG Great observation. Did that with both of my daughters. Of course I had gym access and could make my own schedule. My wife and always coached our girls for that reason and other reasons.

@CoachTParr Good question. Being a now ex high school coach for 32 years i lean toward AAU. Why? Money involved. The high school coach just doesnt want to lose his job if his team is bad next winter. So feels he needs to spend June building the next year's team.

@RodBriggs3 So question…Is AAU the problem or high school basketball the problem?

@coachbrettflory It takes what it takes. Just an observation. Throw in the weight room and possible multi sport participation. It can be rough. Though I would have preferred this to driving a tractor in circles all summer like I did as a kid.

@RodBriggs3 We’ve backed off playing so many games this summer partly for that exact reason. More focus on practice. I’m excited for that.

Do you guys know those parents who aren’t strict but somehow have really disciplined kids? 😩 What’s the science behind that?

@denverrefugee @RadiusAthletics This group in 2011 was a made up of 4 or 5 superior processors. The guy on the block had to just react to drives and make layups. This is what it should say.

A "simple" offense executed by a team of great processors becomes something complex for the defense.

@denverrefugee @RadiusAthletics We got fourth in 5A that year. We beat several more physically talented teams that year by just running efficient offense. We ran the read and react offense and this was our third year running it. #15 was Clay Young who walked on at KU and did a good job for them there.
