Through amendments to the Official Plan, Zoning By-law and related policies, the lands at 2000 Williams Parkway will be designated for automotive assembly and related manufacturing uses, protecting this vital economic asset for years to come. During the recent winter storm, which brought more than 30 cm of snow to Brampton, the City's winter operations were fully mobilized to keep our community safe. Snow clearing crews worked around the clock 24/7 with more than 362 pieces of equipment deployed, helping maintain: • 4,162 lane km of roads • 1,041 km of sidewalks fronting City-owned properties • 2,681 transit stops • 224 km of recreational trails • 251 school crossings • 84 City facility parking lots To ensure roads remained accessible for plows and emergency vehicles, no-parking rules were strictly enforced: 🚗 117 vehicles towed 🧾 3,190 tickets issued 💰 $465,710 in fines When snow falls, street parking is not allowed. Vehicles must be removed so plows and emergency crews can safely operate. Enhanced and towing will be in effect. When it starts to snow, your car has got to go. Thank you to our winter operations and by-law enforcement staff for their tireless work, and to residents for doing their part to keep Brampton safe this winter.

Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we’re proud to highlight a new step forward in accessibility in #Brampton: the launch of hearing loops across the city. Now available at 26 locations, including Service Brampton at City Hall, select recreation centres, the Rose Theatre, transit terminals, and more – this technology helps reduce background noise and improve sound clarity for people who use hearing aids and cochlear implants. Supported by the Ontario Inclusive Community Grant, this pilot project reflects our commitment to creating a more inclusive city for everyone, one space at a time. Today, the @CityBrampton held a flag raising to mark the beginning of the Poppy Campaign. Every poppy tells a story of courage, service, and remembrance. I hope everyone wears their poppy with pride as we honour the bravery and sacrifices of those who have served and continue to serve.
