@forbiddenauror @skinny_s0ul It does slightly burn more calories but it’s roughly the same amount the most important driver in that is disntance but obviously if time is important to you running is more efficient since you cover that distance threshold faster

Walking vs running are different levels of effort. Even at the same distance, running is higher intensity (typically resulting in a higher heart rate), which usually leads to slightly higher calorie burn. That’s why someone aiming for 20k steps at a slow, flat pace may burn less than someone doing 5k steps at a running pace (oversimplified example).

@skinny_s0ul Your heart rate reflects how hard you’re working, which influences how much you burn It’s not perfectly accurate, but it’s not meaningless either. Someone walking 10k steps vs running 10k steps will typically burn very different amounts because the intensity is different
