💣🚨 BREAKING: Atlético Madrid are planning to increase Julián Álvarez’s salary to €10m as part of a contract renewal.
This would place him at the top of the club’s wage structure alongside Jan Oblak.
He currently earns around €7m including bonuses.
The club are prepared to remove any doubts surrounding their star player by offering him a new deal that would make him the highest-paid player in the squad.
The parties have not yet sat down to negotiate, but the player is already aware of the club’s intentions.
Julián and his family are very happy with their life in Madrid, as well as his integration within the dressing room. This increases Atlético’s confidence and optimism that their top scorer is closer to extending his contract than leaving.
