@BrianZisook @IDK This is the case with me. Most of the artists I work with don't want to post more or even create content around a music release. Which hurts them

@IDK That’s possible, but more often than not, it’s actually the managers who pleading with their artists to post more and be more accessible, and it’s the artists who aren’t interested…

Artists that decline collaborations to look cool. Or don’t post their music to look mysterious are hurting themselves and the growth of music in general. Most of the times managers are telling yall that’s the move/a good idea.

Some of these podcasts that discuss the music industry would benefit greatly from bringing in a cohost who actually understands the modern music business. A lot of bad information goes unchallenged.

Music pitching to streaming platforms is one of them. A few days ago I eventually went ahead and pitched the new release to Spotify. I thought it would be difficult only to find out it was a breeze.

Fear and Intimidation are sometimes not real. Here is an example. One of the artists I work with is signed to a major distributor and my job when submitting music to the distributor is to go deep into the music description and marketing plans for when the music comes out.
