Here is yet another video posted by @jahman_adamski of him speaking about someone who is supposed to be his close friend, Thabani Mpofi, in derogatory terms while talking to people on the other side of the political aisle. Now defend this one too. Let us see what excuse you will come up with this time in the face of his own words and his own voice. It is embarrassing for an adult like yourself to come onto a public platform like Twitter and start defending nonsense. This guy has done this to so many people, his friends, his colleagues, and many of them know that he is dishonest. Yet now you want to blame journalists for exposing his dishonesty. That is exactly why South Africans laugh at us as Zimbabweans and say we are clueless about politics. The culture of blindly defending leaders even when they are clearly wrong is part of what has turned Zimbabwe into what it is today. Here you have a situation of you defending him where he is attacking Jameson Timba, a man pushing back against the violation of Zimbabwe’s Constitution, and to you that does not matter. What matters to you is blindly defending a politician no matter what he says or does. That kind of politics is useless, and it is people who think like you who keep Zimbabwe trapped in this cycle.

My brother, there is absolutely nothing special about Zimbabwe, just as there is nothing inherently special about any other country you can think of except the route it chooses for itself. What makes a country special is how its citizens treat themselves, from those in government to the ordinary person sweeping the streets. This idea among some Zimbabweans that they are exceptional, and that other countries must act in certain ways towards them, is completely misplaced. South Africa has no obligation towards Zimbabwe. None at all. Every country pursues its own national interests. That is why you are seeing the United States under Donald Trump acting unilaterally and reshaping its alliances based on its own present priorities. Countries respond to interests, not sentiment. Zimbabweans must abandon this delusion that someone is coming to rescue them. No one is coming. Nations are built from within. The idea that we are uniquely chosen or more deserving than others is not grounded in reality. Every nation has its people, and every people must define their own destiny through their actions. What determines whether you are “special” is how you conduct yourself, how you think, and how you act. It is about self-discipline and responsibility. Take a personal example. Who I am today has been shaped by how I have handled my life, the education I pursued, the decisions I made, and how I invested what I earned. That is what determines value. It is not imposed from outside. Outsiders only recognise and respond to the value you have already created for yourself. The same applies professionally. To be recognised as a great journalist depends on the work you put in, the integrity you uphold, and the impact you make. No one confers that title arbitrarily. It is earned. Likewise, for a country to be considered great, it is determined by how its citizens behave, how they build institutions, how they invest in their future, and how they hold themselves accountable. Look at China. Fifty years ago, it was widely dismissed and underestimated. Today, it is one of the world’s leading economies because it focused on internal development, long-term planning, and discipline. It did not wait for validation from outsiders. It built its own capacity. That is the lesson. No country becomes great because others decide it should. It becomes great because its people make it so. South Africa pursues its own interests, Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans must do the same!
