@aburke626 I feel you. I have some unassembled IKEA shelves from 8 months ago in my bedroom

@LLesombras @SevcialNeeds @PUPWlTCH @meggyface626 @DruidicFireball @DavidEDaveWall1 @davebrooks86 @CanPanicNow He lay on the floor of his cell, covered in feces and pleading for help, for literal days before he died.
Sadly, the concept of “reasonable“ no longer applies to qualified immunity.

@Roenok @SevcialNeeds @PUPWlTCH @meggyface626 @DruidicFireball @DavidEDaveWall1 @davebrooks86 @CanPanicNow Tbf, even if cops were actually the bodyguards they claim to be that last one could still happen, mainly because they aren't doctors, and may not be able to get one in time. @clpolk @leahmcelrath @msappel I compare the sensation to suddenly realizing there are maggots in your food. I doesn’t matter how much you were previously were enjoying that meatloaf, you aren’t going to finish it.
English

Dear #AutismMoms/Dads:
If your child says unexpected textures in food make them gag, believe them. They’re not being “dramatic” or “attention-seeking.”
It happens to me: one wrong tooth-feel, and my throat closes. Sometimes I even have to spit into a napkin.

Whose choice is this? Greg Abbott's? This November 8th, it's your choice. What do you choose? Texas Women or Texas GOP Extremists! To support us go here: secure.actblue.com/donate/nochoice

@FiggyTater @SNeurotypicals @DSpindelman This! And all the rest were about a standard of normal I can’t judge. “Does your child make less eye contact than normal?” I have no clue!
English

@DSpindelman @SNeurotypicals This is what made it difficult for me to complete my child’s screeners!
As a ND parent of a ND child, I felt like a lot of the questions boiled down to “are you endlessly annoyed by her abnormal/disruptive behavior”…
but she’s fucking DELIGHTFUL to me, we are the same! 🤣🤣🤣

This is unacceptable. Young children can’t be left many months behind every time we get a new vaccine. This decreases the benefit. We need a new system @US_FDA
“FDA officials have said that authorization for a bivalent booster for children younger than 5 is several months away.”

Having a garage! Whenever I heard “so and so started their business in their parent’s garage” I thought “wow, they were rich!”
I’m not sure Child Me was wrong, though I was missing some nuance.
DelyanneTheMoneyCoach ®@DelyanneMoney
I used to think that having a washer/dryer inside your home meant you were rich. What did you think “rich” meant growing up?
English

@Taren_in_NC I’m sorry that’s true, but I hope the templates are useful.
So far I’m squeaking by with just staying within one health system so everything is in their EHR, but that has gaps.
English

@Roenok I hate to admit it, but I think my health is at the point that this is going to be a necessity.

Extremely useful if you have a medically complex illness or care for someone who does.

A while back I wrote about my medical binder and what I bring to appts as an individual with a complex, multi-systemic genetic disorder. Some people noted that a model could be helpful. As promised, here's a thread on my medical record binder with a model at the end. 1/17

"They could have evacuated."
"Why didn't they evacuate?"
"That's what you get for not evacuating."
As a lifelong Florida resident who grew up low-income on Sanibel Island which has been destroyed by #Ian hear me when I say this:
Evacuating is HARD.
English

@lasrina But that’s not going to stop us from panicking and canceling school!

All that water is going to be coming back in FAST—and with more—during the surge. Incredible destructive power.
People often focus on hurricane winds, but it’s the storm surge that kills.
Shelter-in-place at the highest possible location.
