@mom_of_littles @Verizon Tried 5 times — 2 in V stores, 3 by phone — to change the checking account we use to pay automatically. They couldn’t get it done and even briefly shut down my service. Total nightmare on simplest transaction. Finally the 6th time it took.

Today my husband went into @Verizon to upgrade his phone. He was able to do it through the app, but he thought it would be simpler to do it in store. Went in, employee cut him off and said “nope can’t do it.” Husband asked him why, as it was letting him do it in the app, and the employee kept cutting him off and telling him no, and then told him to get out of his store. He then called customer service to find out why and they were able to do the upgrade for him over the phone 😑

@RobOviatt1 Serious question, Rob: how do you know that neither ever cheated? Depends partially on how you define cheated, but any way you define it, how can you be sure that neither cheated?

Roommates at West Point. There was an interesting connection between both. Parcells was a Football mastermind, that was a good Basketball player. Knight was a Basketball mastermind, that loved Football. And they were drawn together by their love of competition, a fierce desire to be the best, and learning from each other to do it. @topper_fan Agree, Jack, but as a general matter, it’s not individual officials who decide what to call (or pass on). It’s rules committees, supervisors, etc. Minimal discretion on the floor.

Feel how you wanna feel, but I’ll be damned if this is a ball!! This is one of the best hitters if not the top hitter in the country you shouldn’t have to throw the ball over the heart of the plate to get a strike out. Umpires gotta be better.
