Day 3: Async programing, WebRTC, Rust ... Three nemesis of mine 👿 Progress is slow, learning is over the top. Server side WebRTC session is up and it begins to look like the original JS application's architecture. Will soon be able to exchange ICE candidates.

I guess we'll begin with a shared pointer (Arc) to a clients list to be somewhat aligned with JS at the begining. Hoping we can move later to a solution where each task knows its client and no other. That would remove a lot of mutexes and interlocks.

Coming back to WebRTC. Super Tilt Bro. uses UDP for its networking. That's simple and solid but web browsers don't like it. The web version actually talks in WebRTC to a relay server that translate it to UDP. Problem: the relay has several issues ... 🧵

@MarcDWyz Kate seems to check it all. I personally use Gedit when I want a small graphical text editor, but it has less features and you may prefere a KDE native editor.

I know this is going to start a fight in the comments lol but... What's the best text editors for Linux? I don't need to use it as an IDE, but code syntax colors are a must. Dark theme is also required. On Windows I used Programmer's Notepad 2.

Being able to quickly switch between audio profiles helps a lot with my hearing impairment, by utilizing a voice focused profile.

Hey Linux heads, does anyone know the best alternative for the Windows program "FX Sound" (formerly "DFX Audio Enhancer")? I'm using Kubuntu 25. EasyEffects works well, but audio stutters whenever a program starts playback. I can't stand it 😣
