AND THE WAY EVERY SCARE WAS SO DRAWN OUT IT JUST ALL FELT SOOOOOO CLASSIC IT WAS SM CLASSIC TROPES THAT I LOVEEEEE TO SEE LIKE ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV THINGS IN HORROR MOVIES IS WHENEVER THERES A RED FLICKERING LIGHT THAT MAKES THE WHOLE SCREEN RED BUT THEN CUTS OFF TO BLACK THEN BACK ONTO RED REPEATEDLY UNTIL AN INEVITABLE JUMPSCARE AND IDC HOW OVERDONE IT IS LIKE YES U ALWAYS KNOW ITS COMING BIT IM JUST ALWAYS A SUCKER FOR IT LIKE THE CLICHES DIDNT TAKE AWAY FROM THE MOVIE AT ALL CUZ THEY WERE DONE IN SATISFYING WAYS WITH FUN PAYOFF AND ALSO JUST MADE IT CAMP AND A CLASSIC IN MY EYES. like the way the main girl stumbled upon her research in such an “what a perfect coincidence to fall into your lap” way😭😭 i busted out laughing at this one drawing she found but I LIVEDDDDDD. and then the one “crazy” lady they conveniently manage to track down with no real info who randomly happens to know ALL of the lore and helps them like PLSSSFJJSFNND i fucking loved the way the entire plot played out. god i was just gluedddd to the screen and so invested. i loved how it also didn’t even need a ton of explanation, the unknown of its origins made it more eerie and entertaining like it gave us just enough and still subverted some expectations. the pacing was IMPECCABLE i was never bored for a single second and i LOVED the main two characters so much i was rooting for them so hard the chemistry and drama was great and i was sooooooo relieved to FINALLY have a male character that ends up BELIEVING what the woman says not tooooo far into it like THANK YOU!!! they were a GREAT duo and i left the theater extremely satisfied and with a huge grin on my face, such a great theater experience where the whole crowd was loudly reacting together in the best way. so many dark sequences that relied on camera movement and light in unique ways to scare you, as well as incredible attention to sound detail that REALLYYYY call for you to see it on the big screen. god i fucking loved that so much, horror this month has been SO AMAZING i can’t believe we rlly got hokum then obsessed and then this i feel like a kid on christmas im so giddy and happy and excited 5/5

My thoughts go out to Tulsi Gabbard and her family, as her husband battles this serious health problem. I hope and pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery. While the circumstances around her departure are deserving of our sympathy, let’s be clear: Tulsi Gabbard’s only positive contribution to our nation's national security is her resignation. She politicized intelligence. She dismantled critical agencies keeping Americans safe. She weaponized the IC to pursue baseless election fraud claims. And more. We must ensure that her tenure — marked by a devotion to the person of the president and not to the security of the country — represents a terrible exception at DNI and not the new normal.
