Everything old is new again: On October 22, 2022, I knocked a water bottle over on my desk while editing a big project for a large account. The water went right into the base and the computer went down immediately. Broke my heart. I was sick. I had other computers but this was my main axe. I loved its unique style. Looked like an ashtray. I took it everywhere to try and resuscitate it to no avail. I had the Geek Squad over my house multiple times. Nothing. I stashed it on a shelf in my garage and went on with my life. Yesterday I decided to man up and finally throw it in the trash. Then I thought I would give it one more try. I plugged it in, hit the button and was stunned when I heard the Apple boot up sound. Go figure. Got my baby back. Life is good.

So unusual to have a black, liberal, female, DEI hire guilty of corruption. This HAS to be racism. Tonight we march. Who's going to order the placards? Anyone?

It was a joke that I didn't find very funny at the time. I kept thinking how ironic it was that I should survive the jungle and meet my end in the bedroom. :)

That sound brings back memories only my laundry lady could identify. The M60 machine gun was used for Infiltration Course Fire in my basic training. We would crawl under barbed wire while live tracer rounds were fired overhead to simulate combat. With exploding bunkers every few feet. Every other round was a tracer bullet so we could get an idea what it would be like in a fire fight. Some guys freaked out so bad they had to hold fire and remove them. Six months later we would experience the real thing. I had some previous experience thanks to the Somerville Police department. :)
