I'm so happy with how this is turning out. I had an idea to use try using VTubers as characters in a game. @wwparasiVT was wonderful enough to lend me a hand. There's more to come but the proof of concept is already working out great. #indiedev #VTuber

Does anyone in here do audio editing? I am trying to clean up some audio I recorded. I managed to get rid of the wind rumble with a high pass, but I can't get rid of the hiss / airy noise. In audacity if I noise sample it it effects the other audio quality too much.

@PepperDF @GameRoll_ @PaulTassi There are a lot of free art asset paintings out there too like Saturn eating his son, but you see those a lot. Just make sure if you snap pictures that they're public domain.

For me the problem here is two things: Obviously there’s the ethical problems with AI usage, won’t blabber about them because we all know what they are. But, even if you look past those, the image itself is simply just abysmal. It’s not passable in the slightest. Open world games are crafted to be as immersive as possible, and if you choose to stop for two seconds to look at the environment your immersion shouldn’t immediately be broken by an ugly looking, clearly AI generated asset. It displays a real lack of care for the player in a number of ways. Very disappointing

A small gamedev tip for people who worry about not having interesting paintings in your game. Take some screenshots or set some scenes up. Then put them in PS/ CSP and apply some artist effects. You can make simple oil paintings in under 2 mins. No AI needed.

A Redditor has discovered an AI generated artwork in Crimson Desert. There are other posts that also claim to have found AI generated images throughout the game. It’s not even a “good” image. Pure slop, just look at the horses legs LMAO. Really disappointing.

Got the calculations working. Still have to figure out how I am going to handle dual wield penalties. But for now? Basic calcs are working. Going to do the rest of my stats tomorrow and come back to Dual wield later. Get it up and running then balance is my plan.

I wish I was better at visualizing code in my head. Trying to put together the order for adding bonuses to an attribute from a primary, passive, and equipment step. as well as the calculation for each one gets a bit rough at times.
