BREAKING: The IDF has issued a statement on the viral video showing an airstrike narrowly hitting RT propagandists standing on a bridge targeted by Israel and used by Hezbollah for "both terrorist movement and to transfer thousands of weapons." “In footage released in the past few hours, a journalist is seen at the ‘Qasmiya’ crossing. An explicit warning had been issued regarding this area. The crossing was struck after sufficient time had passed since the warning." The Russian state TV channel RT ignored the evacuation warnings, resulting in its staff members being slightly injured.

@RoleMarks @RickSanchezTV @HonestReporting Of course they were targeting him. They did the exact same thing in Gaza, and also when they were last doing major bombing campaigns in Lebanon. They murdered some ~200 journalists. More than WW2, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, for instance, which were all under 100.

Something doesn’t add up in IDF’s justification for striking RT correspondent Steve Sweeney and his crew. Israel says an evacuation warning was issued. The Geneva Conventions make it clear that attacks may only be directed against military objectives. A civilian object like a block of flats loses its protection only if it is being used to make an "effective contribution to military action."
