Search and rescue operations are ongoing in Kyiv following a Russian strike on a residential apartment building. As of now, five people have been killed by Russia, and more than 10 people remain missing. Around 40 people were injured in the attack, while 28 have been rescued from the collapsed building. Russia’s actions clearly show that it is not moving towards peace. Only coordinated international pressure, defence support for Ukraine, and strong sanctions against the Kremlin can create the conditions necessary to stop Russia’s aggression.

As of now, already 5 people have been reported killed in Kyiv as a result of last night’s Russian attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 40 people have been injured in the capital, and another 7 in the Kyiv region. There are already 28 injured in Kharkiv. And two people have been injured in the Odesa region. In total, 180 sites have been damaged across the country, including more than 50 ordinary residential buildings. A search and rescue operation is still ongoing in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. Efforts continue to find people under the rubble. More than 10 people are reported missing. All necessary services are also operating in the Obolonskyi district. And recovery efforts are underway after Russian strikes in the Poltava region. Overall, more than 750 personnel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and nearly 750 police officers have already been engaged across the country to eliminate the consequences of the attack. And it is also very important that the world does not stay silent about this terror and stands with Ukraine.

Зараз іще триває пошуково-рятувальна операція в Дарницькому районі Києва. Шукають людей під завалами будинку. Більш ніж 10 людей вважаються зниклими безвісти. Працюють усі необхідні служби і в Оболонському районі. Також триває відновлення після російських ударів на Полтавщині. Загалом до ліквідації наслідків обстрілу по всій країні вже було залучено понад 750 працівників ДСНС України та майже 750 поліцейських. Вдячний усім, хто допомагає рятувальникам і поліції. Сьогодні ж під час гуманітарної місії в Херсоні росіяни двічі атакували FPV-дронами машину Управління ООН з координації гуманітарних справ, і росіяни не могли не знати, яку машину вони атакують. В машині були керівник Управління ООН з координації гуманітарних справ та ще вісім співробітників організації. На щастя, ніхто не постраждав. Представників місії евакуювали. Все ж значну кількість ракет і дронів під час цих атак вдалося збити. Загальний відсоток збиття – понад 93%. Звісно, треба вище. І, звісно, найбільш складно – захищатися від балістики. Дякую всім, хто нам допомагає в цьому. За всі ці удари буде справедлива відповідь. І потрібно тиснути на Москву так, щоб вони там відчували наслідки свого терору. Right at the time when the leaders of the most powerful countries meet in Beijing and the world hopes for peace, predictability, and cooperation, Putin launched hundreds of drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, at the capital of Ukraine. This barbaric attack during such an important summit shows that the Russian regime poses a global threat to international security. Instead of peace and development, Moscow pursues aggression and terror. In Kyiv, entire blocks of residential buildings have been ruined, and there are killed and injured civilian people. Other cities and communities across the country came under strikes as well. Putin wants this war to continue in order to prolong his control and rule over Russia. There should be no illusions or wishful thinking: only pressure on Moscow can force him to stop. I am certain that the leaders of the United States and China have enough leverage over Moscow to tell Putin to finally end the war. And this would be the greatest positive development.

Overnight, the Russians launched more than 670 attack drones and 56 missiles against Ukraine. Ballistic, aeroballistic, and cruise missiles were used in the strikes. The main target of this attack was Kyiv. There is damage at twenty locations across the city – ordinary residential buildings, a school, a veterinary clinic, and other purely civilian infrastructure. Destruction has also been reported in the Kyiv region, while similar terrorist strikes targeted energy infrastructure in Kremenchuk, as well as port and residential areas in Chornomorsk. In total, since midnight yesterday, Russia has used more than 1,560 drones against our cities and communities. These are definitely not the actions of those who believe the war is coming to an end. It is important that partners do not remain silent about this strike. And it is equally important to continue supporting the protection of our skies. The PURL initiative is needed so that Ukraine can defend itself against ballistic strikes like these. And likewise, in the interests of everyone seeking peace, pressure on Russia must continue. A rescue operation continues in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, at the site of a Russian attack. Russian air bombs struck right in the city center, targeting civilians. As of now, at least 5 people are reported injured and 5 people killed. My sincere condolences to their families and loved ones. Sadly, the number of casualties may increase. All emergency services are now working on site: rescuers and medical teams are helping people.

Seven people are currently in hospitals after being injured in the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia, while some others are still undergoing the necessary medical examinations. A total of 37 people have been affected. It was a guided aerial bomb attack that directly targeted the city’s civilian infrastructure. The Russians show no restraint in destroying human life. This was an absolutely cynical terrorist strike, with no military justification whatsoever. Not a single day passes without such Russian attacks on our cities and villages. This one strike alone has already claimed 12 lives. In the evening, the Russian scumbags also launched attacks on Dnipro. As of now, four people were reported killed. My condolences to the families and loved ones. It is essential that Russia is forced to end this war. We need silence from such strikes and all others like them every single day, not just for a few hours somewhere out there for “celebrations.” Life must be protected, and I am grateful to all our partners who have spoken in support of Ukraine and are helping us defend life.
