I was doing so much better over the last few days… finally finding my inner peace after the partition proceedings in Haywood County. And then, like always, something happened to stir it all up again. The child of the person who has essentially legally stolen something they were never intended to have reached out to me. That child? They’re not very happy either. And now I’m lost. I was ready to give up and just pay the money they’re asking for, even though that’s wrong on every level. Because that’s easy. It takes the stress away. But knowing that even their child knows what’s happened is dirty? That makes me wonder if I should dust myself off and keep fighting. What would you do? 🤔

You may want to paint yourself as a moderate who cares about his constituents, but the reality looks much different: 👉🏼You allowed Evergreen Packaging to squelch on a deal made with the people of Canton, North Carolina. That resulted in the closure of the paper mill that not only built the town but kept it afloat for more than a century. The people it hurt? Primarily heritage hillbillies. 👉🏼You failed to keep an eye on NCORR. The result? More than a 1000 North Carolinians are still waiting on home repairs and rebuilds a decade later. Those impacted were mostly minorities. 👉🏼You failed to test thousands of r*pe kits as AG. That decision impacted women all across the state. How many were victimized by repeat offenders because you failed to do your job? 👉🏼You put NC on one of the strictest COVID lockdowns in the country. Small businesses suffered while big box stores reaped the benefits. 👉🏼You implemented soft on crime policies that allowed cashless bail. It resulted in the deaths of people like Iryna Zarutska. 👉🏼You gave in to leftist demands to release hardened criminals during COVID. Many of those criminals offended again - resulting in the victimization of innocent people. 👉🏼You failed to act quickly and consistently in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. An entire region suffered because of your inability to direct and work with others. We know who you are. And we don’t want you to represent North Carolina as a US Senator.

Mama came in and changed the whole trajectory of my life. She worked for it—every bit of it. Nothing handed, nothing easy. She pushed me, believed in me, and didn’t let me settle when things got hard. She’s the reason I see a bigger world out there, the reason I chase it, and the reason I don’t quit when it gets uncomfortable. Here’s the truth I’ve come to know: mothers aren’t just the ones who bring you into this world. Sometimes they’re the ones who step in, stand up, and choose you—over and over again. I’ve had both. And I can tell you, there’s no real difference in the kind of love they give. Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️

Angry? Livid? Furious? I’m not sure there’s a word to describe exactly how pissed off I am about this 60 Minutes episode. Where was 60 Minutes when people like Greg Biffle and Adam Smith flew helicopters into WNC to save trapped families? Where were they when Shawn Hendrix and countless others delivered RVs to those facing winter weather with nowhere to sleep? While Margo, dozens of others, and I gave up everything to put 1000% toward making sure hillbillies had what they needed, where was CBS? I raised money for Haywood County. I raised money for Black Mountain Home for Children. I spent hours on the phone with elected officials, keeping Ted Budd’s team aware of what was happening on the ground. I debunked lies and exposed bad actors. I ran supplies. I handed a microphone to people who lost everything. I posted around the clock about what was needed and where. And I did all of that while in shock and mourning for my mountains. We BEGGED journalists to do their jobs. Instead, they vilified conservative victims. Now they want to vilify those of us who got off our rear ends and made shit happen? To CBS and 60 Minutes, from the bottom of my heart: Go fuck yourselves.

Just took a ride with a friend of mine. He is 62, has a paid-off condo, and $100,000 to invest. That’s all he has. He works a part-time job making at most $2,000 monthly and can’t find a better one. He is short on bills every month. Needs 3,5-4k. He wants to buy a shitty real estate property with his $100k and rent it out. (I don’t even know what you buy in FL for 100k? Garage? ) I suggested passive income from dividend stocks instead. I believe the market provides a better investment with this money. Am I right?

Not long so ago, I believed the political divide wasn’t all that wide. I thought it was propaganda. I believed people were cherry-picking stories to make the left seem more hateful and violent than they were. Then I wore a Charlie Kirk t-shirt and witnessed it firsthand. I was stared at, sneered at, and berated. When I shared that experience, I was called a liar, received hate mail, and was added to public social media lists of fascists, Nazis, and racists. I got death threats. It opened my eyes. What’s truly terrifying is that I got off light. Charlie Kirk was murdered in front of the world. Attempts have been made on Trump’s life. Schools have been targeted by violent leftists. Christian church services have been disrupted by leftist mobs. Riots have caused property damage, destruction, and loss of life. Conservative journalists have been attacked. Tesla owners have been targeted. And those are just the things playing out on the main stage. I know people who’ve been swatted, physically attacked, and had their families targeted—ordinary people like me who dared to speak the truth. Meanwhile, leftist politicians and media personalities push the delusional fairy tale that the right is evil and cite studies that falsely claim both sides are responsible. The truth is we have a problem in the United States. That problem isn’t coming from the right. And you can’t fix a problem until you admit you have one.
